We’ve added a new category to our template design site www.DesignMyCart.com that makes use of the instant download delivery feature of our Zen-cart. This means that once you have paid for your purchase of an Instant Template, you will be able to click a link to download your file right then! There’s no better feeling than instant gratification.

Your template will come zipped up in a .zip file that can easily be opened with the built in extractor in Window, or with a free trial version of such utilities as WinZip. Once opened, you will find your template is organized in an orderly, easy to understand fashion.

No fooling with html pages that you have to click on and then view source to get the code. These are simple text files that need nothing more than editing of your customer number and then a quick copy/paste to put into place in your BISI admin, making installation a breeze.

Don’t know how to copy/paste you say? Not to worry! There are detailed installation instructions included with every order that walk you through the whole process — including how to copy and paste — so even a novice could do it.

We hope to be adding many more Instant Templates to our line up, making your need for speed not be a compromising factor in your quest for a good looking BISI store.

We don’t want to release too many details lest our idea gets stolen before we can release it, but let’s just say that it’s not been seen before and will be sure to revolutionize and liberate store owners in the way they share site information.

We have been busy the past few months and thus have not posted much.

Several months back, my partner and I were discussing how cool it would be if you could get a BISI store to look more like a traditional zen-cart. It’s all in the layout, we figured, so we went in search of the perfect 3 column layout. Through trial and error and lots of sleepless nights spent pulling hair, we finally whipped one into shape and were so proud of our finished efforts.

Now, just like Glade© has Air Wick© copying their motion-sensor activated air freshener, our competition has swooped in to profit from our idea. You will find 3 column BISI store designs elsewhere, maybe, but that doesn’t mean their code is compliant or that it’s SEO friendly. It just means they saw a good thing and attempted to copy it.

But Mother always told me that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I just wish they weren’t flattering us continuously.

That’s life in the competitive world I suppose.

Have you ever wanted to change the description or price on one of your BuyItSellIt store ads and had to click and click and click just to get through all the menus to get to the product page to edit it?

If you don’t like wasting all that time and have better things to do besides search through the maze of menus to get to the one thing you need to fix, then our One-Click-Edit add on for your store is the answer!!

First, you must have an upgraded account and the sample template files installed. If you need help with that, we offer installation of the template files here.

Next, we install a small bit of code on your product details page that, when you visit your storefront and view a product, there will be a small indescrete image to click on in the bottom corner of the ad. When you click on that, as long as you are logged into your BISI account, you will go straight to the edit page for that ad. Click-BAM! No fumbling around in admin trying to get to the one ad you need to fix. Just find it in your storefront and click the edit image.

Here’s how it works:

Lots of edit images to choose from, or just choose a “Hot Spot” invisible area to hover and click.
